The 2026 3-Day Seminar: What’s Changing

We sincerely thank everyone who has participated in the 3-Day Seminar on Congenital Heart Disease over the past 30 years. Your dedication and sacrifice for children with congenital heart disease have saved countless lives and exemplified the medical profession’s commitment to safeguarding the dignity of life.

APCIS 2025, held on November 12–14, 2025, was a great success, with 689 participants, including 82 international attendees.

The 3-Day Seminar at APCIS 2026, to be held on November 12–13, 2026, at Seoul Dragon City in Yongsan, will introduce the following changes:

A substantially reduced registration fee
The early-bird registration fee will be reduced from US$200 to US$50. Please see Note 1 below for details.
A commitment to making knowledge more widely accessible
Whereas the previous 3-Day Seminar was an intensive educational program primarily intended for a small group of pediatric cardiologists and surgeons, the program will now be redesigned for all healthcare professionals involved in the care of children with congenital heart disease.
An expanded range of participants from Korea and abroad
We welcome nurses, echocardiography technicians, perfusionists, cardiac rehabilitation therapists, patients’ family members, and many others.
Continued opportunities to study cardiac specimens
Specimen-based learning will continue through video lectures and open viewing sessions. APCIS remains the only scientific meeting where participants can directly examine hearts donated following autopsy or transplantation. We hope this will be a valuable opportunity to strengthen the expertise of your congenital heart care team. Please see Note 2 below.
Support and rewards for case presenters
Registration fees are waived for up to three participants for each case submission. There are participation awards for accepted cases and prizes for outstanding presentations. If the participation fee is a burden, please submit an interesting and educational case. Please see Note 3 below.

This reduction in registration fees has been made possible by the understanding and agreement of our international faculty regarding adjustments to their honoraria. We sincerely thank them for their generosity.

Note 1. Registration fee

Previously, the 3-Day Seminar registration fee was US$200–300 (KRW 200,000–300,000) and included accommodation. Beginning in 2026, accommodation will not be provided. The early-bird registration fee will be US$50 (KRW 50,000) through the end of October 2026. On-site registration will be US$60 (KRW 60,000).

Note 2. Heart Library and anatomy learning

There will no longer be a session in which all participants examine specimens representing every diagnostic category together. Instead, anatomy teaching will be provided through video lectures. In addition, the Heart Library will offer individual opportunities to examine actual cardiac specimens directly in the Shilla Room.

Note 3. Case presentations

There will be no Group Case Presentation session in 2026. Instead, the Case Presentation sessions will provide opportunities to present and discuss interesting and educational cases from your own practice. Registration fees are waived for up to three participants for each case submission. US$300 is awarded for each accepted case. Additionally, two teams each from the interventional procedure and surgical categories will be selected for outstanding presentations and awarded an additional US$300 prize.

지난 30년 동안 3-Day Seminar on Congenital Heart Disease에 함께해 주신 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다. 선천성 심장병 어린이를 위한 여러분의 헌신과 희생은 수많은 생명을 살렸을 뿐 아니라, 생명의 존엄성을 지키는 의료인의 소명을 실천해 온 귀감이었습니다.

2025년 11월 12일부터 14일까지 개최된 APCIS 2025에는 해외 참가자 82명을 포함하여 총 689명이 참석하였으며, 성황리에 마무리되었습니다.

참가비를 대폭 낮춥니다.
사전등록 기준 참가비를 기존 US$ 200에서 US$ 50로 인하합니다. (안내 1 참조)
지식의 보편화를 지향합니다.
그동안 3-Day Seminar가 소수의 소아심장 분야 전문의를 위한 집중 교육 과정이었다면, 이제부터는 선천성 심장병 어린이를 진료하고 돌보는 모든 의료인이 함께 배우는 프로그램으로 새롭게 구성합니다.
국내외 참가 대상을 확대합니다.
의사뿐 아니라 간호사, 심장초음파사, 체외순환사, 심장재활치료사, 환자 가족 등 더 많은 분들을 초대합니다.
심장 표본 관찰 기회는 유지합니다.
심장 표본을 활용한 교육은 동영상 강의와 자유 관찰의 방식으로 계속됩니다. APCIS는 부검 및 심장이식 과정에서 기증받은 실제 심장을 직접 관찰할 수 있는 특별한 학술대회입니다. 심장 진료팀 전체의 역량을 높이는 소중한 기회가 되기를 바랍니다. (안내 2 참조)
발표 증례 제출에 대한 지원 및 포상이 있습니다.
채택된 증례 발표마다 최대 3명까지 참가비를 면제합니다. 채택된 증례에 대한 참가상과 우수 발표 증례 포상이 있습니다. 참가비가 부담되신다면, 흥미롭고 교육적인 증례를 제출해 주십시오. (안내 3 참조)

안내 1. 참가비 및 등록

기존 3-Day Seminar의 참가비는 US$200–300 또는 20–30만 원이었으며, 숙박이 제공되었습니다. 2026년부터는 숙박을 제공하지 않는 대신 참가비를 US$50 또는 5만 원으로 낮춥니다. 성인 세션 참가자와 동일합니다.

안내 2. 심장 표본 교육 및 Heart Library

참가자 전원이 함께 모든 진단 범주의 심장을 관찰하는 세션은 운영하지 않습니다. 대신 동영상 강의를 통해 심장 해부학을 체계적으로 학습할 수 있도록 합니다. 또한 신라룸(Shilla Room)에 Heart Library를 운영하여, 참가자들이 실제 심장 표본을 자유롭게 직접 관찰할 수 있도록 하겠습니다.

안내 3. 증례 발표 방식

2026년에는 Group Case Presentation을 운영하지 않습니다. 대신 Case Presentation 세션에서 각자의 흥미롭고 교육적인 증례를 발표하고 함께 토론하는 시간을 마련합니다. 증례 제출자(증례당 3명)에게 등록비 면제 혜택을 드립니다. 발표연제로 채택된 증례에 대하여 US$300을 드립니다. 우수 발표 증례에 대하여 (중재시술과 수술 증례에서 각 2팀) 추가로 US$300의 상금을 드립니다.
